Lyndhurst Residents Learn Fancy Footwork
On Thursday, February 25th at the Lyndhurst Health Department Building, a free course entitled ”Social Dancing for Social Confidence” will begin. The program will teach Lyndhurstians how to enjoy themselves at any venue that includes social dancing. Township resident Andrew Abrams and his troupe of dance instructor specialists will teach the basics of most of the popular partner dances including: Merengue, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo / Salsa, Hustle, Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, and Argentine Tango.
Heart Healthy Cooking

Clara Maass Medical Center and the Lyndhurst Health Department will offer free blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, a heart healthy cooking demonstration, and panel discussion with Clara Maass Medical Center experts. There is no cost to attend this event.

Arthur Avenue
The Department of Parks and Recreation, under the direction of Commissioner Tom DiMaggio, has booked a trip to the Italian area of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx on Wednesday, May 20.

    There is no cost.  The town bus will leave NJ Transit lot at 9 am and leave the Bronx at 2 pm.  Everyone will be on their own to shop and have lunch.  Please call the Parks Department at 201-804-2482 to reserve.
Little League Registration
Registration for Lyndhurst Little League 2010 season will be held on the following dates at the Little League Club House located on Riverside Ave in Lyndhurst.

Community Policing Newsletter
Lyndhurst Police Winter Edition of the Community Policing Newsletter is Now Available

The Lyndhurst Police Department is pleased to announce that the latest edition of the community policing newsletter is now available. The newsletter is designed to keep you abreast of what is happening at the LPD, inform you of issues and trends affecting the township, and to make you aware of forthcoming events. “We are focused on keeping everyone informed on all that is going on throughout the town and keeping you aware of those events that have a direct effect on you.” said Public Safety Commissioner Robert Giangeruso. The newsletter will be produced several times a year and is free to all. Lyndhurst Chief of Police James O’Connor added, “This police department is committed to providing optimal service to those we serve and the newsletter will be an excellent application in support of our community policing initiative.” The winter edition of the newsletter is now available in hard copy or online at www.LyndhurstPolice.com.
