Below is a list of activities offered through the Lyndhurst Parks & Recreation Department. You can find information on the Community Pool activities on this website.

For all sports activities, visit your child’s local school website and look for the Parks Department link on the lower left-hand side of the page. General registration information is listed below, however dates are subject to change.


Pool Activities

  • Aquasize classes – Located at the Lyndhurst Community Pool by a Certified Specialist. 12 week sessions held 4 times a year.
  • Pool Membership – We offer a 4 month membership or an annual membership.
  • Swimming Lessons – for ages 4 and up held at the Lyndhurst Community Pool. Eight-week sessions held 3 or 4 times a year.
  • Mommy & Me – for 1 parent with an infant for babies to get used to the water while singing and playing games.

Sports

  • Boys Basketball - Registration held from September through early October offered for grades 2-8.
  • Cheerleading – Registration held in May offered for grades K-8.
  • Flag Football and Football – Registration held in May offered for age 4 for flag football and football for grades 2-8.
  • Girls Basketball – Registration held in October offered for grades 1-2 3-8.
  • Hockey – Registration held in September offered for ages 4-8.
  • LaCrosse – (Instructional) Registration held in February or March and offered to grades K - 8th. Equipment not included in registration price.
  • Little League – Registration usually held in January/February.
    • T-Ball is for boys and girls ages 5 & 6.
    • Juniors is for boys and girls ages 7 & 8.
    • Minors is for boys and girls ages 8-11.
    • Majors is for boys and girls ages 9-12.
    • Senior League is for boys and girls ages 13-16.
    • Softball is for girls ages 5-12.
  • Recreation Volleyball – Offered to grades 5-8. Registration is usually held in September.
  • Soccer – Registration is held in May/June. Offered to grades Pre-K through 8th.
  • Wrestling – Registration takes place in November for grades 1st – 8th.
  • Women’s Volleyball – Registration takes place in August. For ages 18 and older.

Dine to Donate for the Lyndhurst Little League

Dine to Donate at Mr. Bruno's Pizzeria and Restaurant, 439 Valleybrook Ave., on Monday, January 22, 2018 and Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5 to 10 p.m. This is for Dine In, Take Out or Delivery!

Mention the Lyndhurst Little League when you pay to have 20% of your tab donated directly to support the 12U Lyndhurst Boys' travel team and their journey to Cooperstown.

2018 Little League Baseball/Softball Registration Information

Online registration for the 2018 season is now open!  
Boys and girls ages 4yrs - 14yrs can now register for baseball and softball.  Please visit our website to register!  Go to Lyndhurstnjlittleleague.com to register! If you are a returning player, utilize your existing account to register.
 
Registration is open for T-ball (baseball and softball), Coach-Pitch (baseball and softball), Minor League (baseball and softball), and Major League (baseball and softball) thru January 31, 2018.  After January 31st a $25.00 late fee will be applied. 
 
 

Winter 2018 Swim Lessons

The Winter 2018 session for Swim America at the Lyndhurst Community Pool will begin on Saturday, January 20th and will run for 6 weeks.

If you are interested, you can download the application below or pick up an application at the Parks Department, located at 250 Cleveland Avenue.

Cost is $115 and can be paid by check, cash or credit card.

Keep in mind that space is limited and registrants are taken on a first come, first accepted basis.  Registrations will not be accepted at the pool facility nor by mail.  Please call the Parks Department at (201) 804-2482 if you cannot make it within the hours of 8:00 AM or 4:30 PM to register.

Open Swim/ Aquasize Classes at the Lyndhurst Community Pool

The Lyndhurst Parks and Recreation Department, under the direction of Commissioner Tom DiMaggio, is offering a weekday Open Swim/Aquasize class program. Water exercise specialists Joann and Vicki will be conducting the exercise classes at the pool. 

Classes will run for 12 weeks on Wednesdays and Fridays starting November 29th, 2017. 

Those who register for Aquasize will also have access to Open Swim at the pool on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during daytime hours - Monday 10am-1pm, Wednesday 9am-12pm, and Friday 10am-1pm.

The cost for the 12-week program is $90 for Lyndhurst residents and $95 for non-residents.  If you are new to aquasize, please feel free to try one session before signing up!
