Vehicle Maintenance Services

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the provision of Vehicle Maintenance Services for the Township of Lyndhurst will be received by the Township of Lyndhurst at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in the Town Hall, Courtroom, Second Floor, 367 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, New Jersey, at which time they will be opened and read aloud by the Township Clerk.

    Specifications and Bid Proposal Forms are available at the office of the Township Clerk located in the Town Hall and may be inspected and picked up by prospective bidders beginning Thursday, August 18, 2011during business hours as of 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

    A Bid must be made on the Form of Bid attached to the specifications and must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the front the name and address of the bidder and the phrase “Bid to the Township of Lyndhurst for the provision of Vehicle Maintenance Services” and must be accompanied by an affidavit of non-collusion, a statement of ownership pursuant to N.J.S.A.  52:25-24.2, a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid but not in excess of $20,000 pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, and a Consent of Surety pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-22.

    The successful bidder, if awarded the contract will comply with all Affirmative Action rules, regulations and orders promulgated by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and with all provisions of the Local Public Contract Laws N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. and all rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, the provisions of, which are incorporated herein by reference and of which pertinent parts are reprinted in the specifications.

    No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Lyndhurst Board of Commissioners.

    The Lyndhurst Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and also reserve the right to waive any informality in the bids and to accept the bid and award the project to the bidder which in its judgment, best serves the interest of the Township of Lyndhurst.
