Commissioner Joseph Abruscato
The father of two sons and a Lyndhurst resident for over forty years, Joe Abruscato understands our community and its people. Why Joe? His experience as a School Board member who carefully watched how every tax dollar was spent. “They called me ‘Frugal Joe’ on the School Board because I believe spending must be controlled to prevent the massive tax increases we’ve seen in the past,” he said. In less than a year as a Commissioner, Joe Abruscato has cut wasteful government spending and is working with Mayor DiLascio and his fellow Commissioners to get the most out of every tax dollar spent. Eliminating government duplication by sharing municipal services with our public schools is top on the Abruscato agenda. Abruscato is also standing up to developers and builders to make them pay their fair share to stabilize property taxes for homeowners.
