Posted August 14, 2024PROPOSED CLOSURE OF KINGSLAND RAIL STATION, LYNDHURST, NJ
Proposed Closure: NJ TRANSIT Main Line Kingsland Rail Station, located at 250 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ, would close in 2025, not before a new Lyndhurst Rail Station has opened at 366 Court Avenue at Delafield Avenue and begun service via NJ TRANSIT rail. At that time, service to the former Kingsland Rail Station at 250 Ridge Road would cease.
Important Information: Public hearings will be held as required by N.J.S.A. 27:25-8 at the location and times listed on this notice. Written comments may be sent to: PUBLIC HEARING OFFICE - KINGSLAND STATION PROPOSAL COMMENTS, ONE PENN PLAZA EAST, NEWARK, NJ 07105, or submitted via NJ TRANSIT's website at njtransit.com/kingsland or email to kingsland@njtransit.com, for receipt no later than 11:59 p.m. August 14, 2024.
The public hearing location is accessible for persons with disabilities. Individuals requesting a sign language interpreter, language assistance or other accommodation should contact the Public Hearing Office at (973) 491-8520 or TTY (800) 772-2287 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, no later than August 8, 2024, in order for NJ TRANSIT to make necessary arrangements.
