Rutgers Youth SAFETY Clinic
Posted March 16, 2026The Lyndhurst Recreation Department, under the direction of Commissioner David Mateen, will be hosting an online Rutgers Youth SAFETY Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) for volunteer coaches.
Participants will learn about the legal, medical, and psychological aspects of coaching, as well as general coaching concepts to assist with the training and conditioning of athletes.
This certification is valid for life, so the course only needs to be completed once. The Lyndhurst Recreation Department will cover the cost for the first forty ( 40) coaches or volunteers who register. The registration deadline is March 20, 2026.
The clinic will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 6:30 PM via Zoom.
