The Township of Lyndhurst is seeking applications for the position of Part-Time Fire Inspector trainee, this position is required to be available for day time 8-4 . Knowledge of State Fire Codes including inspections of residential Use Groups. Applicant must able to perform inspection of Non-life hazard building, conduct day to day operations of the office, and will perform all duties as listed in the N.J.A.C. 5:70 New Jersey Fire Code, and other duties assigned. Applicant is preferred to hold a current D.F.S. Fire Inspector license, or obtain a license from the Division of Fire Safety. Must possess a valid driver’s license, and have transportation to conduct inspections, by use of their own vehicle.
Must be able to pass a back ground check and physical.
