100th Anniversary Parade & Celebration

Township Residents and Business Owners,
As you may already know, Lyndhurst is proudly celebrating its 100th Anniversary 1917-2017 this year!  
To commemorate this auspicious event, on Saturday September 30th, 2017 (rain date October 1st) the Township of Lyndhurst is hosting a grand parade and an all-day 11:00 am – 11:00 pm celebration in the township park on Delafield Avenue, with a variety of foods, vendors, antique cars, rides, fun activities, beer garden, souvenirs, and musical groups. 
The parade will assemble at town hall (Valley Brook Avenue) at 10:30 am/ starting approximately 11:30 am.  Mrs. Dorothy Dempsey, a most prominent & upstanding citizen of our community will lead the parade as Grand Marshal. 
The parade route will travel east on Valley Brook turning left (north) onto Ridge Road, turning left (west) onto 2nd Avenue turning left (south) onto Stuyvesant turning left (east) onto Valley Brook ending back to Delafield Avenue approximately 1:30 pm for keynote speakers & festivities!  
Please note, anyone who would like to drive their antique historic vehicle in this parade please contact my office at 201.804.2457 ext 2685 or email  ASAP to coordinate vehicles in the line of march.

Annual School Supply Drive a Success - Thank You to All who Donated

The Lyndhurst Health Department, under the direction of Commissioner Karen Haggerty, would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the Township residents and area businesses who so graciously donated to the Annual School Supply Drive. Your generous donations helped many families obtain the supplies necessary to start their children off to a happy and successful school year!

Election Poll Workers Needed in Your Town!

The Bergen County Board of Elections is currently recruiting poll workers. This important civic responsibility is open to all registered voters in Bergen County. It is vital to the democratic process to recruit and train reliable poll workers.

Volleyball 2017 Registration

Recreational Activities - 9/6/2017 12:34:46 PM

Volleyball registration will start Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 for Boys and Girls in Grades 5th through 8th. Registrations will run every Wednesday through October 25th at the Lyndhurst Recreation Center, 862 Valley Brook Ave., from 4:00 PM to 5:30PM and 6:00 PM to 7:30PM.

Bi-Annual Women’s Health Screening

The Lyndhurst Health Department, under the direction of Commissioner Karen Haggerty, will hold its Bi-Annual Women’s Health Screening on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 starting at 9 a.m.  This screening, done in partnership with Clara Maass Medical Center, includes a free exam and PAP test performed by Dr. Decca Mohammed.  A Nurse Educator from Clara Maass will also be present to provide education on breast cancer.  This screening is available to Lyndhurst residents aged 18 years and older.  Please call 201-804-2500 for an appointment.
