Please see the attached code section that is from the International Swimming Pool and Spa code.  This code is enforceable. Reference the highlighted definition of a residential swimming pool. It states "that the pool is an accessory use to a residential setting and is only available to the household and its guests.  ALL OTHER POOLS SHALL BE CONSIDERED PUBLIC POOLS."

All permits issued for residential pools past and present are for residential swimming pools ONLY.
