Commissioner Louis DeMarco

Commissioner of Tax & Finance

Commissioner Louis P. DeMarco was raised in Lyndhurst along with his four brothers, Carmine, Joseph, Michael and Robert. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a pharmacy specialist for 47th Field Hospital and was awarded the Army Accommodation Medal.

Commissioner DeMarco has 40 years of experience in the automotive industry and is currently employed at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan. He is a former community college adjunct professor where he taught courses in automotive technology.

Commissioner DeMarco is a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and serves as Secretary for the Holy Name Society. He is also a member of the Italian American Club of Lyndhurst, serving as Vice President. The IACL raises funds and gives back to the Lyndhurst community such as donating to the local food bank and assisting needy families.

Commissioner DeMarco is married to Carol (Vendola) and the father of Louis and Daisy, father-in-law to Rachel and grandfather to Vincent and Madeline. He is the stepfather of Kayla, Amanda and Lea.
He and his family are award winning amateur wine makers.
